Shot of the day!

Roscoff on the northern coast of Brittany is certainly one of the most rugged parts we have seen.

Rough seas are more the norm than the exception but today we encountered a mild, sunny day with calm seas.

Everywhere you look there are rocky outcrops and at times there doesn't seem to be a navigable path. No wonder there are lighthouses dotted all along this coastline.

Each little port has small and large craft marooned on the mud flats at low tide.

Mariners lives are really determined by the tides.

  3. Shona, from one blogger to another - I only hope that Jen is out there doing and seeing as much as she is famous for (talk about an energiser bunny!) - I know only too well how much time she's spending back at the old laptop at the end of the day making all this happen - for us to share and enjoy. Go Jen! (Poor David. Wonder what he is doing while Jen is typing away, pulling her hair out learning all about this blogging stuff?)
