First attempt

Three days in Paris and we have walked a million kilometres, used the Metro as if we had our $2:50 Seniors' Card and had some great meals at a couple of our favourite restaurants.

Day 1: After a late start to recover from our jet lag we just wandered the 2nd and 3rd arrondissements  and discovered places and sights that we had missed on previous trips.  We returned to a favourite haunt in Montmartre to one of the few places in Paris that serve REAL cappuccinos! Later that night we had dinner at Robert & Louise with some Morgan friends who were in town.

Day 2: First stop today was at Maison Georges Larnicol to buy some more of his much loved salted caramel eggs covered in dark chocolate and coated in praline! Yummo!  Then to Bon Marché to check on the new gourmet food hall and later to lunch at Les Fous de L'Ile on Ile St Louis followed by a 5km walk to Bercy Village then a visit to Canal St Martin.  No wonder we flopped into bed at 7:30 pm!

Day 3: Today we visited the fabulous markets near Pont de l'Alma (Princess Diana's memorial)  then to La Cocotte for lunch and then on a tour of discovery of the Bois de Boulogne on the periphery of Paris. Another early night I fear (those "go fast" pills are not working)!
